Contract Flooring Journal: Flooring firms pre-tax profits plunge by 46%

"There are alarming findings in a new Key Note Business Ratio Report which investigates 107 companies in the carpet and flooring industry. An analysis of each company's results over the three years up to October 7, 2009, shows average turnover remaining at £46.6m over the three years, but pre-tax profit falling from £4.3m in 2006/7 to £2.3m in 2008/9, an overall decline of 46.9%."
