Leading Market Intelligence provider Key Note Ltd is looking to recruit an entry-level editor for its office in Hampton, Middlesex, near London.

Entry-Level Editor

Key Note publishes an extensive range of consumer, financial, industrial, business-to-business and lifestyle titles and is currently looking for an entry-level editor. This is a challenging, hands-on role, which will provide a wide range of experience in a fast-paced information environment.

The primary role of an editor is to edit and produce Key Note reports, taking complete responsibility for 2 titles in each production month.

This involves editing text and tables in two stages, implementing house style, dealing with copyright requests, liaising with writers and proofreaders, completing post-print work for each report, and publishing to PDF, html and hard copy to deadline. As the successful candidate gains more experience, they can also expect to become involved with other editorial tasks.

The ideal candidate will be a good communicator, have an eye for detail and be able to meet deadlines. They should be enthusiastic, flexible, self-motivated, highly literate and numerate, with an ability to maintain a good standard of work whilst under pressure.

This position would ideally suit a recent graduate with some editorial experience, either on a university publication or in a commercial capacity. This is not essential as full training will be given.

If you are interested in this position, then please download, print off and complete this Editorial Test, carefully following the instructions, and send the hard-copy test with your CV and covering letter explaining your suitability for the role to:
